The four dominant leaves of this symbol are part of the wheel of life. 
They represent the changing of seasons in one's life, the presence of virulence and new growth in each of these seasons, and a fluent transition between different stages is supported by a secondary wheel of smaller leaves - unexpected gifts that spring up in transitional periods.
